Copyright & Intellectual Property

1. What we own
The PathYatra name and logo, the software and source code behind the website and apps, the interface design, illustrations, written content, and the structure of the platform belong to PathYatra, currently operated by its founders Abhinav Mandal and Abhishek Mandal, or are used under licence. They are protected under Indian copyright and trade mark law.
2. What you may do
You may use the website and apps for their intended purpose: finding and booking bus travel, or running your bus operation. You may view, print and share pages for your own use, and link to any page on this site.
3. What you may not do
- Copy, adapt, translate or republish our content or design as your own.
- Copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the software, except where the law allows it.
- Scrape, crawl or systematically extract listings, fares, routes or operator data — whether by script, bot or manually.
- Use our name, logo or a confusingly similar name, domain, app name or social handle in a way that suggests we endorse or operate something we do not.
- Remove or obscure copyright, trade mark or ownership notices.
4. Content you provide
Your business name, logo, bus photos, route descriptions, reviews and anything else you upload remain yours. We do not claim ownership of them.
By uploading, you give us permission to host, display, resize and distribute that content as far as needed to run the service — for example, showing your bus photo on a search result or a ticket. That permission ends when you remove the content or close your account, apart from copies kept in backups until they cycle out, and anything we must retain by law.
You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload. Do not use photographs, music, fonts or logos belonging to someone else.
5. Partner use of our brand
While your account is active, you may describe yourself as a PathYatra partner and display our logo in the form we supply — on a bus, a counter or a poster. You may not alter its colours or proportions, combine it with your own mark, or keep using it after leaving the platform. See the Operator Agreement.
6. Reporting an infringement
If you believe something on PathYatra infringes your copyright, trade mark or other rights, write to grievance@pathyatra.com with:
- your name and contact details;
- what you own, and proof of it where available;
- exactly where the infringing content appears — a link or a screenshot;
- a statement that you believe the use is not authorised;
- a statement that the information you have given is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
We acknowledge within 48 hours and act within a reasonable time — removing or disabling the content where the complaint is well founded, and telling the person who uploaded it. If they believe the removal was wrong, they can tell us and we will look again. We will not remove content on an unsupported assertion alone, and we will not leave clear infringement in place either.
7. Third-party material
We use open-source software, fonts, map data and icons from third parties under their respective licences, and we comply with their attribution requirements. Their rights remain theirs.
8. Feedback
If you send us an idea or suggestion for improving PathYatra, we may use it without obligation or payment. We mention this so nobody is surprised — if you want to keep an idea confidential, please do not send it through a support channel.
